My day was great. i recorded myself laughing on a camera instead of saying what i was supposed to say.

My favourite part of the day was when we missed double maths and double history in school. those lessons are so boring.

my worst part of the day was when i had butterflies because i was being recorded. The rest of the day went perfectly especially BREAK and LUNCH.

The best thing i liked is writing the report and my group did international report and it was okay when we had to read our part infront of the camera.

The worst bit of today was, writing out the report and trying to figure out what to say. It was really hard because we had to figure out what we wanted to say and how we were going to say it.

we were given a catagory and put into groups of two, three or four. Our catagory was international. Then we had to chose a story out of the four or five stories we had. Once we had decided on our story, we had to write a script and chose our pictures that we were going to use in the background.

Then we went into the filming room and film our story. We recorded our story twice. once we were finished, we had to write our blogs like i am doing right now.

This is an experience that i would love to do again.

Fun

today it was amazing when we tried to be like BBC editors. The most boring part was when we tried to research on the sport i did. it was great fun and i hope to come again soon.

Thea's bbc news day

Hi Everyone !
On BBC news day I an entertainment reporter with Nina. Our Main story was about daniel radcliffe in the play equus. It ws about the fact that the play was quite racy, and miles away from his harry potter days. We also had a short story about janet jackson and her adventures with a shopping trolley, which was quite funny! I learnt how easy it is to make mistakes, and how you have to get everthing perfect before time is up! Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and learnt alot. Enjoy the program!

hi,

on bbc news week me and thea did entertainment ......

billie was the editor and rachel was the presenter .........

we did a story on daniel radcliffe in equus and one on janet jackson in the supermarket useing the trolley as a scooter lol xxxxxxxxxxxx bibi
we done the bbc news day and i was in a group with zara and nina and we were international reporters. we done two stories one about climate change in australia and how in many years the people of australia will have to drink waste water and our second story was about shilpa and jade's argument and the view indian and school childern had. my favourite thing was the jade and shilpa story because it was more interesting than the climate one. me and zara both wanted to do entertainment but we still got to do something around them lines. it was fun filming it but we were nervous well actually i hated filming it ours was rubbish as we couldnt speak properly and we had to go with our rubbish one and our racism bit got cut out and actually there was no point of having it because everyone already knows that bit

BBC news day

On BBC news day I learned alot about how the news is produced. I had fun writing scripts and filming the news on a green screen (best phrase ever! screeen of greeen) it was a good experience and something I had never done before.

We were given the catagory POLITICS. When I first found this out I was disapointed because I usually find politics boring but once I started to look for stories I found there was a much wider range of political stories than I thought there would be. We found lots of stories on the BBC website and, with the help of the editor, chose which one we wanted to do.

Once we had found our story we did further research in the Metro and the Independant. We took the key facts started writing the script for our report. We also had to look for pictures that would go in the background to make it look like we were somewhere else I found this very fun because I got to be in Paddington Green without moving an inch!! Clever or what? Me and Rose were going to be standing outside Paddington Green Police Station so we found a picuture of the entrance for us to be standing outside.

We practiced the script until we could say it without stumbling over the words. We decided we wanted to be the first to record. Because we were first there was no one to tell us what it would be like so I was quite nervous.

When we got in we were told what to do and all seemed quite simple so my nerves were eased. We managed to do it all in one take which I found very cool because however fun it is...it's best to get it over with.

Over all I've had a fun day and I enjoyed doing the report.

green screen love to all

Elsa ♥ ♥ ♥
On the BBC news day we first of all looked through a few newspapers and news websites eg bbc, sky, and the metro. We then all found out what our jobs were. My job was a political editor. Two other people were in the political group Elsa and Charlotte. We then looked on websites to see what political stories there were. Then the editor, billie, came around and chose which storie we were going to do. We ended up doing the rape storie.
Me, Elsa and Charlotte started on the script. This was one of my favourite times on the trip because we had a lot of fun and discussing.
We had lunch then got back to work. We finished the script then started practising.
When we had finished practising we started to film. This part of the trip made me feel excited, scared and nervous. When we had finished i was quite happy but relieved as well.
It was probably one of the best part of the trip, seeing as we had done lots of hard work and finally got to do a really fun bit.

bbc news day

On bbc news day i learnt how to make a news report. We were given a catagory and me and my group had to chose a story on Politics and write a script for it. we had about five different stories and we had to pick one or two. In the end we decided to only do one story instead of two because one would be hard enough on it's own.

We had to write a script for this story so we know roughly what to say or to know exactly what to say. We also had to chose pictures to put on our green screen to make it look as if we were actually there.

Once we had finished, we went into the filming room. We got ours perfect in one shot and we didn't have to do it again. YES!

I'd definately do it again.
